Equine Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships provide the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications and practical hands-on experience whilst also earning a wage. As an employee you will work alongside experienced staff to gain vocational skills which will give you career choices following your apprenticeship.

Successful completion of an apprenticeship programme will provide the skills and experience to become competent grooms, stud grooms, assistant yard managers, assistant trek leaders and rider grooms.

Equestrian Training offers various pathways through an Intermediate Apprenticeship and an Advanced Apprenticeship including Horse Care and Management, Riding, Breeding and Coaching.

Apprenticeships

- who are they for?

Apprenticeships

- who are they for?

Apprenticeships are for those over 16 years-old and not in full-time education. You may be just leaving school, seeking to start a new career, moving into a new role with your existing employer, or it may be that you already have a job you enjoy but have no recognised qualifications.

Competition for positions with employers can be fierce so you will need to show respect, commitment and be aware of your responsibilities to yourself and your employer. You will need to be happy working individually and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and willingness to work hard.
